When you register a domain name, ICANN requires that your address, e-mail and phone number be published in the public WHOIS database which is available for anybody to view on the Web. Whois Domain privacy is an optional service we offer to protect your email address from being spammed and prevents unwanted calls from telemarketers. Your comapny remains the registrant for the domain but alternate contact information will be displayed to protect your personal information from being misused.
